We (including but not limited to Godhadi, anti-caste feminist pluro-species collective, body/mind/emotions of abhaya etc.) are born in/ held by Kalmath, Varde, Oros (Sindhudurg, Konkan).
I (Abhaya in less-human body) identify myself as a queer dalit feminist pluro-galactic artist, re-cogniser, inculcated architect, neurodiverse spatialist, wanna be theorist and a trans-generational Sorkul (a dalit cooking vessel). As all of mntioned more-than-human entities, I am invested in constructing temporal spatialities to develop, curate, cultivate and sprout anti-caste consciousness through cooking, weavings, performances, somatics, translation and embodied script writing.
Since collectivisation and collaboration is a crucial aspect of my practice, I am co-founder of Godhadi, Intersectional Healing Network and mitara collective. Also, I am a recipient of the Stanley Picker Fellowship at Kingston School of Art. During 2022-24, I have worked as a co-investigator on the practice-based research project, Touching on Caste configured in within dalit spores exhibition of Godhadi that was hosted by Bloc Projects, Sheffield and funded by Arts Council England. In Oct/2024, I started our practice-based PhD at Goldsmiths, University of London in dept. of Art as an awardee of CHASE doctoral studentship.
