Built on an ethos of friendship, mitara collective is co-founded by artists/ researchers Abhaya Rajani and Sam McNeil. After a long time frame of informal collaborations, both the practitioners have initiated this collective to manifest a capricious lens to analyse the interrelation between ecology, place, time and caste, gender, race, sexuality through fictional realism and fantastical world-making. mitara collective aims to interrogate the overlaps which often gets unnoticed and unacknowledged to generate wandering, co-working relations beyond art-making.
